Photograph a leaf, the bark or the whole tree. You get a name and a number saying how sure the model is. No account, no ads, no tracking, and we do not keep your photos.

Fairly identifies a tree from a photograph.
You take the photo, it is sent to be identified, and you get back a name with a confidence figure. The figure is the point: an answer that says how sure it is can be argued with, and an answer that always sounds certain cannot.
Photograph a leaf, the bark or the whole tree. The photo is shrunk on the phone and sent to our server, which asks a vision model. The name and the confidence figure come back in a few seconds. If the model cannot tell, it says so and asks for a better photograph, and you can add up to four photographs of the same tree to one identification rather than starting again.
Not the photo. We record what each identification cost us and count them against a random identifier made up on your phone, so the free daily allowance means something. There is no account and nothing that says who you are. The scans you keep, and the photographs in them, stay on your phone: they are never uploaded and we cannot see them.
A few identifications a day are free and stay free. Paying lifts the limit, and nothing else changes.
